Crema di Pomodoro {Cream of Tomato Soup}

It’s almost SOUP season. Are you ready? I am! I’ve decided to kick start the season with this rich and thick Cream of Tomato Soup. It’s made with the last of my fresh tomatoes from my garden {I used a combination of yellow and red tomatoes producing this gorgeous orange soup} and the secret ingredient – potatoes! That’s right potatoes. It thickens the soup and gives it an extra complexity. It will have your family wondering what it is about this soup that’s so rich and delicious ; )

Want to know why I’m so ready for soup season? It’s because of my new super sexy RED BLENDTEC blender. Are you wondering “WILL IT BLEND“… You betcha bottom dollar it can blend. I’ve been making soups galore since it arrived. A Creamy Corn Soup with a kick {I’ll be sharing that with you soon} this incredibly rich and thick Cream of Tomato Soup and of course we needed to “test” some Mom & Dad beverages.

It takes seconds to blitz into oblivion. It’s one POWERFUL machine. I’m pretty sure I could jump my car off with it should need be *wink wink*  Now who wants to WIN ONE?

    I’m not fortunate enough to have a Blendtec but I just made this soup (AGAIN) and it’s fabulous. Just right for a rainy, cold day like today.

    Thanks.
