Perfect One Dish Dinners!

You know how I’m always raving about our food community? About how much I love my fellow over the moon talented food blogger friends.  About how much we all support each other. Well it’s not just talk *wink wink* we really do support each other and have this incredible camaraderie. So much so that when I was asked to participate in spreading the word about a fabulous new cookbook by the one and only Pam of Three Many Cooks, well you know what the answer was ; )

When my review copy of Pam Anderson’s {and btw we’re not talking the bay watch, Tommy Lee and Pam Anderson *side eye*} new cookbook “Perfect ONE-DISH Dinners All You Need for Easy Get – Togethers” arrived I was smitten. Oh backing up, yes you read that right ONE DISH! You all know how much I love to cook BUT I hate to do dishes so this book had my undivided attention. In case you’re not familiar with our friend Pam she is a food writer, cookbook author and one of the fantastic three  ThreeManyCooks bloggers and oh yeah pretty much super woman in disguise!

Okay, I’m gushing but it’s all true. I was immediately struck with how beautiful the book was. I’m a visual person and I always flip through the pages looking through the photos first. I expect a lot of photos in a cookbook and this book didn’t disappoint. It was chock full of mouth watering photography. So much so, I have sticky notes everywhere for the recipes that I want to try!

They put together the most amazing video {in conjunction with The White On Rice Couple, whose talents amaze me} Take a quick peek…

Some of you might think one dish means casseroles. Well I’m happy to report, this is NOT your grandma’s casserole collection! And I’m going to prove it  ; )

I decided to try one out, after drooling ehem flipping through many pages I settled on Cassoulet Style Italian Sausages and White Beans. I knew my family would love it. We eat Italian Sausages all the time and then there were also beans and cherry tomatoes…Swoon! SOLD!

It was perfect for a Sunday Supper and I even enlisted the help of the kids, they literally added everything to the pot themselves and I put it into the oven. It’s virtually effortless! From pot to table it’s less than an hour. Nice! And yes, it was as promised all done in ONE POT and *rubbing hands together* I served it in the dutch oven it was made in! It was hearty and delicious. I was a happy camper!

There are a TON of recipes to choose from! And as if one pot dish recipes weren’t enough each entree includes recipes for an appetizer, salad, and dessert as well as wine pairings. And just in case you’re really strapped for time, Pam gives “instant alternatives” for the appetizer and dessert. Talking about having all the work done for you. Pam really covered ALL the bases here ; )

I can’t say enough how fantastic Pam’s COOKBOOK is, so much so you should run out and pick up your own copy! You won’t be disappointed ; )

Some of my other fantastic friends {see I’m not the only one who loves this book ; ) } have also written about Pam’s Cookbook today so go ahead click on over and see what they had to say ; )

I just posted the same recipe from this book yesterday. I love it and you are right I can’t put it down. By the way Pam comes to the Triangle periodically and I have taken 2 classes from her. Should I alert you if she comes again? Not only that she us a big fan of Italy and talked about how inspired she was when she went.

Oh man, your photographs are gorgeous! My husband wants me to make this dish with British Sausages. I think he thinks it’s going to be like a full English breakfast all in one pot (they’re usually served with sausages, beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, eggs, and bacon). He might not be wrong..
