I love coffee. I mean I REALLY love COFFEE. GOOD coffee. You know the kind you wake up slightly grinning about because you know what’s coming kind of coffee? I told you I love it. I’ll take an espresso, cappuccino, frappucino, caffe latte, macchiato, or yes a shakerato please. What’s a shakerato you ask? Well let me tell you about this caffeinated cocktail-ish drink. It starts with 7 grams of freshly ground coffee beans, a splash of Amaretto a little sweetener, chocolate and a cocktail shaker. Would you like one? I’m seeing another coffee inspired party in my future just so we can serve these.
I love just about everything to do with coffee BUT the high prices we’re charged for these delicious coffee drinks at coffee houses near and far. Luckily I don’t have to go to said coffeehouses anymore because I have an amazing barista right in my kitchen. His name is MASSIMO aka Saeco Xelsis Digital ID. (Disclaimer: I was sent this piece of counter art to review and share my honest opinions with you. I know I am a lucky lucky girl.)
Massimo can whip up 9 coffee beverages of your choice at the touch of of button. Now if he just spoke Italian to me …Sigh. I suppose you can’t have it ALL.
See for yourself this amazing machine in action …
After using the machine for weeks now here are my thoughts:
Cost. It’s steep but if you really love coffee and drink it multiple times a day like we do I believe it’s worth it (see chart below for price breakdown).
Drip Tray and Coffee Grind Tray need emptying often.
Small water reservoir.
Multi-Media interface guides you through every step.
Automatic cleaning and de-scaling.
Stores 6 unique user profiles for up to 9 beverages.
Front access to brewing group. Simple remove, rinse and re-insert.
Top notch technology.
Fingerprint ID operation.
Re moveable milk carafe that’s seal-able so you can store it in the fridge.
Adjustable milk froth function.
Sleek stainless steel exterior.
Re moveable re-fill able water reservoir with water filter.
Large bean hopper that has a customizable grinder dial.
- If you’re serious about your coffee and you’re in the market for a serious machine I highly recommend you consider the Saeco Xelsis.
First a pioneer then a perfectionist. As inventor of the fully automatic espresso machine, Saeco has a mission: perfect espresso easily for you at home. Since 1985, they have continuously been accomplishing this goal. To learn more about Philips Saeco visit their WEBSITE or connect with them on FACEBOOK.
Now who wants a cup of Espresso or a Shakerato? Or maybe both.
