Lemon Curd Ice Cream
Don’t let the word CURD hold you back from this. I know, it’s a horrible word. I mean really, what were those in charge of naming all the things thinking when they said yes let’s call this CURD, insert the rolling eyes emoji here. It just sounds BAD and we know what it rhymes with. I know, but push that to the back of your mind and focus on LEMON instead and ICE CREAM. Better right?

Homemade Lemon Curd Ice Cream
Homemade LEMON CURD is simple to make yourself and is made using just a few simple ingredients you probably have on hand. However, if you’re short on time or just don’t feel like it, because yeah I know sometimes we just don’t feel like it, it is summer time after all and I know the outdoors are always calling me away from the kitchen, you can pick up a bottle/jar of lemon curd in most upscale grocers these days or at specialty food stores.

Lemon Curd Ice Cream

We start  by making a basic vanilla ice cream. My ice cream maker gets a ridiculous work out during the summer months and if you type ICE CREAM into the search bar at the top of our little place on the interwebs here you’ll find a plethora of ice cream goodness to keep you occupied for quite a bit. I’d start with this luscious lemon one though, because I like to say pucker up princess (or prince).

Pull your ice cream maker out and then pop over to Dixie Crystal’s Website for our LEMON CURD ICE CREAM RECIPE. Go ahead, I’ll wait. I’ve got plenty of time. No worries. I’ll be over here thinking about what ice cream recipe I’m going to make for y’all next.

Oh, I would love a lemon curd ice cream. The creaminess combined with the tang? Yes please!
