ALDI Steak This post is sponsored by ALDI.

We’re continuing our series on Getting to Know ALDI. What do I love about ALDI? That’s easy. Their selection of products and amazing prices, plus the fact that they’re different. They save me time and money every time I shop. From the minute you walk into the store you’re going to realize that they’re different too. Different is definitely a good thing. Good news is, you shouldn’t have to look too hard to find an ALDI near you. With 1600 stores in 35 states there’s bound to be one close to you. If you can’t tell, I’m already an ALDI fangirl and I’m confident y’all will be too. ALDI puts their money where their mouth is with not a single guarantee but a double guarantee. If for ANY reason you don’t like one of their exclusive food brands, they’ll refund your money AND replace the product. How’s that for confident? That’s what I call stress-free shopping.   Sliced Steak While you’re checking out all that ALDI has to offer, why not pick up a nice steak or two? I like their USDA Choice Ribeye. It’s a really tender cut with great marbling and amazing flavor; steak doesn’t have to be a special occasion meal when you’re getting such an amazing price. I’m going to take your savings even further by showing you how I make steak three different ways. You can also find a nice selection of premium award-winning wines to go with your steaks. Red wine pairs beautifully with red meat. I loved the Dancing Flame Red Blend. Need sides? No problem. A selection of breads are available in the bakery section. Sides like fresh asparagus, salad, etc., plus potatoes and all the accoutrements you could desire. ALDI has everything you need to put together your meal quickly and easily. SKILLET SEARED STEAK: My favorite way to prepare a steak is in a cast iron skillet. When you’ve got a quality piece of meat, it doesn’t need much more than a little seasoning and a sear in my opinion. Throw an additional steak on while you’re already cooking and you can have two additional meals without much fuss. Steak Salad STEAK SALAD: Pick up a bag of fresh salad at ALDI. Slice your cooked steak into thin strips. Reheat it in a non-stick pan until just warm and then lay desired amount of meat across the top of salad to create a fantastic lunch the next day. Top with salad dressing, and perhaps your favorite cheese from the wide selection of cheeses available at ALDI. I used Pueblo Lindo Queso Fresco! Steak Quesadilla STEAK QUESADILLA: Pick up a bag of Pueblo Linda flour tortillas (small tortilla size), a nice melty cheese (like Specially Selected Gouda) and fresh cilantro. To prepare, thinly slice cooked steak. Heat a flour tortilla in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add 4-6 steak slices, 1-2 tablespoons of grated cheese and as much cilantro to taste. Top with an additional flour tortilla. Cook until cheese is melted and steak is warmed through, flipping half way through. Garnish with sliced avocado. Now who’s ready for steak and maybe some wine? xo!
