Peet’s Coffee – Big Bang Iced Coffee. Whether you like your coffee hot or iced, Peet’s Coffee makes a bold and flavorful cup.
This post is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Peet’s Coffee. The opinions and text are all mine.
I’m a coffee girl through and through. No talking before my first cup of coffee is my mantra. It’s a necessity in my life and probably best for everyone I come in contact with that I have said coffee prior to interaction. I’m just looking out for y’all. I’m a giver like that.
That being said, I can be kind of a coffee snob. It’s okay, I called myself that. I need my morning coffee to be flavorful and fresh. I was happy to find that just like me, Peet’s Coffee is obsessed with freshness. It’s true, fresher coffee makes a more flavorful cup. Makes perfect sense if you think about it right? Peet’s Coffee roasts to order and deliver directly to grocery shelves – ensuring it gets to you faster and fresher than other brand on the shelf. My kind of coffee company, right?
If you’re not familiar with Peet’s Coffee, it all started in Berkeley, CA where Alfred Peet opened his first shop in 1966 with one goal: to make coffee unlike anything America had tasted before. Today, they abide by his original standards to deliver the richest, most flavorful cup – using only the world’s finest beans, hand roasting in small batches, and never compromising on freshness.
Now that is something I can definitely get behind. You can find Peet’s Coffee in the coffee aisle at your local Publix. Because I know you’d like to save a little ca-ching, be sure to VISIT Publix.com/savings to save $2.90 on any Peet’s Coffee bags or K-Cups between 3/17/18-3/30/18 before heading out to your local Publix.
Retail price is $10.89 for a pack of 10 K-Cup Big Bang Pods or for a 12- ounce Big Bang Bag and shoppers (that’s y’all) will be able to purchase for $7.99 during this time on BOTH products. That’s a savings of just shy of $3 dollars. Time to stock up. Your pocket book (or wallet for all you gentlemen out there) will thank you for this.
What exactly is Big Bang?
Glad you asked. Big Bang is a medium roast coffee that’s a brilliant blend of coffees from around the world created to celebrate Peet’s founder, Alfred, and their 50th anniversary. This unique blend features the exotic fruitiness of Ethiopian Super Natural.
“Some have described Alfred Peet as the “big bang”* of craft coffee – the one who started it all. When he set up shop in Berkeley back in 1966, he transformed America’s expectations of the depth, body and flavor in our cups. And that pursuit of greatness has never stopped.
In celebration of our 50th year, we’re honoring his legacy by taking a bold step ahead. Like Mr. Peet’s pioneering dark roasts, our new signature blend expands the horizon of what coffee can be: vibrant, full-flavored, boldly original, and roasted to medium-bodied perfection.
If you love Major Dickason’s one-of-a-kind taste, you’ll find a kindred spirit in Big Bang™. This blend is crafted from some of the same premium coffees, as Major Dickason’s, but with a twist, thanks to the heavenly, aromatic citrus of Ethiopian Super Natural. It’s the perfect coffee to honor the man who still inspires us every day.”
How to brew?
Brewing Tips: Use cold, filtered water. Measure 2 tablespoons (10g) of ground coffee for each 6oz of water (one cup on your coffee brewer). Enjoy within 30 minutes of brewing.
Now that the weather is warming up I’m thinking about iced coffee as well. The Big Bang blend worked perfectly as an iced coffee. No reason to stop the coffee train just because it’s getting warmer outside. Amiright?
Join us in raising our coffee mugs to 50 years of flavor, friends, and fanatical coffee love as we ring in the next 50 with a Big Bang!
