This Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream post is sponsored by Dixie Crystals. Opinions are my own. This ice cream is made using simple fresh ingredients (no artificial coloring) and churned in an automatic ice cream maker. Scoop it into a cone or cup and enjoy.
Don’t let the color of this ice cream fool you. Just because this ice cream isn’t green doesn’t mean it’s not minty. We use fresh mint leaves to achieve that minty fresh flavor you expect from a mint chocolate chip ice cream.

WHAT ICE CREAM MAKER DO YOU USE ?
(The following contains an affiliate link. I earn from qualifying purchases.) I purchased this 2 quart CUISINART automatic Ice Cream Maker YEARS ago and it’s been going strong ever since. I’ve made countless batches of ice cream in this ice cream maker. It’s a work horse that has earned it’s place in my small appliance lineup.
What is the History Of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream?
You may be surprised to learn that this flavor of ice cream hasn’t been around all that long. It was invented in 1973 by a culinary student named Marilyn Ricketts who entered a competition to provide the ice cream that would be served at Princess Anne’s wedding at Westminster Abby.
How’s that for a royal flavor. Good on ya Marilyn!
