Just in time for the dog days of summer, you can have your cake and eat lick it too. Yep. Your tongue and taste buds will be super confused as to why something so cold and creamy tastes like cake but your tummy will be giddy with excitement. At least that was my experience. Giddy is a good thing in my book. Unless it’s a gaggle of teenage girls, then it might be little much to handle at one time.
But if you have a cone or cup of this deliciousness and a pair of headphones with Jon Pardi blaring in your ear because music should be played loud and proud while you’re belting songs out off key (btw his new album is the bomb diggity, and sadly he doesn’t know me from Adam so there’s my little disclaimer non disclaimer) or maybe it’s just me that sings loudly and out of key. Moving on. What I was trying to get to, is you probably won’t even notice anything else.
Ice cream is one of life’s simple pleasures. Homemade ice cream is where it’s at. It’s not hard y’all. Just takes a little time. It does have to freeze and all, so don’t shoot the messenger. If you’re a fan of cake batter and more specifically wedding cake batter, this will be your new summer ice cream jam. Don’t forget the tunes. They’re mandatory. Booty shaking is optional.
Grab your spoons and pop over to DIXIE CRYSTALS site for the Wedding Cake Batter Ice Cream RECIPE. You don’t even have to get married to eat this ; ) Nope.
xo!
