Lemon Custard Cake

Lemon Custard Cake

I seem to be on a sweet tooth tare these days. No Bake Nutella Cheesecake. Espresso Ice Cream, Sweet Corn Ice and Blackberry Ice Cream and the like. Which is probably why I’m having to get reacquainted with my treadmill. It’s amazing how much reading and catching up on my shows I can do via my Kindle while I’m logging the miles.

I’m a multi tasker what can I say. It’s also where I can dream about all those desserts I want to whip up. I make myself feel a whole better about inhaling eating them when they’re in individual portions. Totally rational right.

Lemon Custard Cake
These little lemon custard cakes are a cinch to whip up. We’re talking 30 minutes people. Since they’re served warm you can pretty much straight away plop your spoon into them and go to lemon town. Well okay maybe not straight away you probably don’t want to burn your tongue or anything but you get the picture.

I’ve never been good at waiting. Patience isn’t something I’m known for. Shocker. What I am known for is loving all things lemon.

Lemon Custard Cake

These little custard cakes are just that. Custard on the bottom and cake on the top. It’s the best of both desserts worlds in one little cute custard cup package. Pucker up princess and head over to Dixie Crystal’s website to get our  LEMON CUSTARD CAKE recipe .

Lemon is my absolute favorite flavor when it comes to desserts. I love the tart kick it gives to cut through extra sweetness. So I’ll definitely be checking out the recipe and whipping up some of these cakes!

I am a custard girl. I grew up eating Flan as the main dessert all the time so I am crazy about any custard and even better if it has the brightness of lemon. Yum!

I’ve made something like this and they were SO good! I had no idea that these types of cakes existed until a few months back. I think you need to make a Nutella version next. 😉
