This Cinnamon Apple Cranberry Sauce post is sponsored by Dixie Crystals. Opinions are my own. A few ingredients and about 15 minutes are all you need to make this cranberry sauce.
Cinnamon Apple Cranberry Sauce. Holy cow, next week is THANKSGIVING! Yes, gobble gobble until we can’t wobble. I will be enjoying my Mom’s cooking this year. Happy. Happy. Dance. I don’t care how ehem old I get, there’s nothing like your Momma’s cooking is there? What I’m most looking forward to is talking her into making Turkey and Dumplings with the leftover 10 pounds of TURKEY that I KNOW we’ll have. My Mom has ALWAYS over cooked. I’m guessing it stems from the years of always having extra guests at our table. My Dad was forever bringing home Air Force soldiers with no family in town. It made for a rowdy meal with the mandatory embarrassing stories, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way. Go Blue!
Cinnamon Apple Cranberry Sauce.
It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without the cranberry sauce and about oh 10 other dishes but cranberry sauce is a staple. Gotta have it. I mean what would a leftover turkey sandwich be without cranberry sauce? Just sayin’. As much as I love the can, yes, I said it, I do love a good homemade version. I’m an equal opportunity cranberry sauce consumer.
This homemade version takes you about 15 minutes and just 4 ingredients, we don’t count water and salt/pepper, no sense in splitting hairs. We like ours chunky, but I know some of you aren’t big fans, all you need to do is cook it a little longer for a smoother version. Options, we love them.
TIP: Cranberries are good for more than just Thanksgiving. Keep making recipes with them all winter long as long as you can find fresh (or even frozen) cranberries.
