Chocolate Peanut Butter Layered Fudge.
Tis the season to break out the fat pants, or maybe just work harder on the treadmill. I still haven’t decided. Okay, okay I should just go with balance, I mean that would be the responsible thing to do, right? Adulting isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be but alas, I am an adult. Or so I tell myself.
So I’ll make the fudge, eat the fudge and then workout. Eat more fudge, because, hello sweet teeth.
Layers are a Good Thing.
Unlike the treadmill, there’s really no hard work involved in making the fudge though so hello there’s some great news. It’s NO COOK. Hold on while I do a little happy dance. That’s right y’all. No need to break out the candy thermometer or even the hot pads. Nope. You’re going to let the microwave do the work. Yes I said it, microwave. It’s in the kitchen, so why not let it have it’s chance in the spotlight. Wouldn’t want to hurt it’s non existent feelings. Not me.
You don’t even have to choose between peanut butter or chocolate for this one because they’re both in there. A large creamy layer of peanut butter that’s top with a decadent chocolate layer. It’s almost like eating a Reese’s Cup in fudge form, without the crinkly edges. We’ve finished it off with a little fleur de sel salt for a little fancy schmancy kick to the taste buds.
These babies are rich and decadent so a little goes a long way, plus if you cut them into smaller squares you won’t feel as bad for eating multiple. Or at least, that’s my philosophy. Please don’t ruin it for me. I realize it’s slightly delusional. Just let it ride, m’kay.
