Cranberry Pecan Baked Brie is an easy appetizer that is impressive enough to serve for a holiday party or equally fitting for a casual get together.
Who doesn’t love a good melty cheese? Baked Brie is one of those appetizers that is literally perfect for ANY time of year and for ANY get together you’re throwing. It’s elegant enough for your holiday party. Yet it’s quick and easy enough for a casual get together.
You can top a baked brie with just about anything your heart desires. I like to use seasonal ingredients. Because at the time my fingers are flying across my keyboard, it just so happens to be winter. Winter means this baked brie screams for homemade CRANBERRY SAUCE and crushed nuts. Pecans, because pecan farmers had a rough go this year so I’m being extra supportive and taking the #PecanPledge.
Is the white brie rind edible ?
YES. You can eat the rind of soft-ripened cheeses. It adds flavor and texture to the cheese. IF you prefer to not eat the rind the best way to remove the rind is to wrap the brie in plastic wrap, transfer brie to freezer for 15-30 minutes. Remove plastic and cut off the rind.

How Do You Make Baked Brie?
Unwrap brie. Place the cold brie wheel into a small cast iron skillet OR on a piece of parchment paper on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes OR until the brie starts to ooze but not melt.
When the brie is finished baking, top with desired toppings and serve with crackers, toasts, apple slices, etc.
